Pain ManagmentInjury Recovery

Because Micro Current Therapy works at the cellular level using only micro-currents it works slowly. Patience is the key to getting great results. For some people the results are apparent in a few hours, for others a few days treatment initially may be required to establish if the therapy is effective.

Important: It’s important to understand not every pain treatment type works for everyone. A trial will establish whether Painmaster works for you. If you have continuing pain please consult your doctor immediately.

No. The micro current generated by the Painmaster MCT Patch is too low to be felt by the vast majority of people.

Micro Current Therapy is quite different to TENS. Whilst they are both Electrotherapy devices, they use very different levels of current to provide different kinds of relief. Painmaster Micro-Current therapy isn’t simply a pain blocker. It may help to reduce inflammation caused by the underlying condition causing pain so it’s ideal for longer term pain conditions and pain management, but not for short term relief. The current cannot be felt by the user.

No, each Painmaster pack contains one set of patches. If used carefully and on clean skin the patches generally last as long as the battery, however replacement patches are also available in packs of 2 sets (4 patches).

No, the units workable lifespan is the same as the battery. The battery is hard wired to ensure the current remains exactly as required. When the battery is exhausted you will need to purchase another Painmaster.

Yes, the plastic has a special coating on 1 side which helps to improve the life of the pads by allowing them to be removed and re-applied more often. Please read carefully which side to stick the pads on. Sticking the pads on other surfaces when not in use will reduce the pads life.

Yes. The MCT patch relieves pain in a totally different way. If you are concerned about this please consult your Doctor. Do not use Painmaster directly over or near transdermal drug delivery patches.

No, Painmaster MCT is not for use when an insulin pump is in use.

No. Pregnant women should not use the patch.

Individuals with a pacemaker should NEVER use the patch.

Yes it is safe to use Painmaster with Transdermal Drug Delivery patches, however Painmaster patches should not be placed directly over or near other patches.

We suggest that the user wear the unit for no longer than 3-5 days and then remove it to avoid irritation to the skin from the adhesive. If there are no signs of irritation, it can be reapplied for additional 3-5 days or until irritation appears. Also, as part of the patch, a small red indicator light is attached. When this light goes out the patch is no longer effective.

No, Painmaster MCT is not designed for this use. Consult your physician for treatment of open wounds.

No. You should surround the area of pain, placing the patches either up and down or side to side around the pain.

No, Painmaster MCT patches are Latex free.

The patches can be applied daily over an extended period. The amount of times depends on the cleanliness of the skin as every person is different. Factors such as body hair and sweat may reduce the number of applications. Spare patches are available in packs of 2 sets (4 patches).

Attached to one of the patches is a small red light. As long as this light is illuminated the patch is working. Both patches must be in contact with the skin in order to transmit the therapeutic current. The battery can also be tested by gripping each electrode with your fingers as shown below to demonstrate if the unit is still working.

There is no specific evidence for or against using Micro Current Therapy over metal implants, however some users have reported pain or discomfort when doing so.

No. The Patches are splash proof only. Patches must be removed when showering or swimming or they will no longer work. The electrodes (The part with the wires) should never become wet.

If you have hypersensitive skin or are known to have allergic reactions to adhesive bandages, please contact your physician before using. If soreness or rash occurs at any time, discontinue use.

A power supply is bonded to and is part of the microchip; it cannot be removed or replaced and is sealed inside the device to protect against water and other element damage.

Children under the age of 12 should NEVER use or play with the patch.

Painmaster MCT cannot be used on the head.  Headaches caused by neck pain may be relieved by using Painmaster MCT on the back of the neck. Only a trial will determine whether this is effective for you.

Painmaster MCT for Women uses the same technology as regular Painmaster and can be used just like regular Painmaster for the same conditions.  Painmaster for Women has been re-engineered for more discreet and feminine use with changes to patches, electrodes and battery indicator light (now light green for use under sheer clothing).

The MCT patch should only be used within the temperature range of 10 to 45 degrees celcius and a relative humidity range of 20% to 90%.

Painmaster MCT is custom manufactured in Taiwan for it’s American parent company.
